Texas property tax rates, 2024
In Texas, every taxing unit sets its own rate: the county, the city, the school district, and often a college, hospital, emergency services or utility district. Your bill adds up the rates of the units your property sits in. The Comptroller publishes every unit's rate, and this site shows each one, by county.

Why there's no single rate per city here
A Texas city can sit across several school districts and utility districts, so two homes in one city can pay different totals. The state publishes each unit's rate but not which units overlap at an address, so we don't add them up for you.
Your tax bill, or your county appraisal district's website, lists the units that tax your property. Each county page here lets you tick those units and see the total.
